Web Design Portfolio

This is a small but growing collection of websites and pages I’ve designed.
Each project reflects a real person, a real story, and a shared intention:
to create a space that feels warm, simple, and true.

As I continue to learn and grow, I’ll keep adding new work here.
For now, I’m proud of these beginnings.

Project 1

Star Karaoke & DJ Services

(Current Client Website)

A clean, welcoming website created for a small business owner
who wanted something easy to navigate and gentle on the eyes.
I focused on clear headings, simple navigation, and warm, friendly copy.

Project 2

Luminaire Home Care

(Past Business Website)

I created every part of this project from the ground up;
the brand identity, the full GoDaddy website,
and the entire digital experience that supported my home care business.

I designed the layout, wrote all the copy,
and built a blog that blended healthcare education with personal stories and humour.

During the COVID lockdown, I conducted a colleague survey
and turned the results into one of my most meaningful articles.

I also designed all of the digital forms clients needed;
applications, waivers, privacy agreements, and scheduling tools
creating a complete, seamless onboarding system.

This project represents my early ability to build not just a website,
but a fully functioning online presence with heart and intention.

My Role:

If you’d like to see additional screenshots,
including interior pages or the digital forms I designed for this project,
I’m happy to share more examples upon request.

Project 3

Lori's World

(Past Personal Website)

Before Luminaire Home Care and before this current website,
there was the original Lori’s World;
my first lifestyle blog and the earliest version of my online voice.
It was a warm, personal space where I wrote about who I am,
what I believe, and the many side hustles and hobbies that shaped my life.

The site had a homepage, an About Me page,
and a blog section where everything else lived in article form.
Personal stories, humour pieces, reflections,
and everyday observations all found a home there.
This project represents the beginning of my digital storytelling
and the first evolution of my brand.

Over time, this blog became the foundation for my next website;
Luminaire Home Care, where I moved many of my original articles
and added new healthcare-related content.

My Role:

  • Branding and visual identity for the original Lori’s World concept
  • Full website design and layout using WordPress
  • Setup and customization through Bluehost hosting
  • Creation of homepage, About Me page, and blog structure
  • Writing all lifestyle, personal, and humor articles
  • Developing categories, tags, and content organization
  • Image selection and overall storytelling direction
  • Managing updates, maintenance, and ongoing content creation

This project did not include formal screenshots,
but I’m happy to share archived content or writing samples upon request.

Project 4

Lori's World

(Current Personal Website)

This website, the one you’re exploring right now,
is the third evolution of Lori’s World
and the most intentional version of my online presence.

After beginning with my original lifestyle blog
and later building a full business website for Luminaire Home Care,
I returned to my roots with a clearer sense
of who I am and what I want to share.

This site brings together my personal voice, my creative projects,
and my growing web design portfolio
in a way that feels warm, honest, and true to me.

Unlike my earlier blog-style layouts,
this version of Lori’s World uses a page-based structure to highlight
the different parts of my life;
from side hustles to creative work to this very portfolio.

It’s a space that continues to evolve, just like I do,
and it reflects the clarity and confidence I’ve gained
through every website I’ve built before it.

My Role:

A Few Final Thoughts

Thank you for taking the time to explore my work and the story behind it.
Every website I’ve built has been part of my evolution;
as a creator, a storyteller, and a person who loves
bringing clarity and warmth to the digital world.

If you’ve made it all the way down here, truly, thank you.
I’ve built a few websites over the years,
each one teaching me something new about design, storytelling, and myself.

If anything here resonates with you, or if you’d like to chat,
collaborate, or just say hello, I’d love to hear from you.
